Q : Where are you located?
I am located in Auckland, New Zealand. Many of my weddings happen around Auckland but I fully welcome travel out of city and internationally.
Q : Will you travel to be at my wedding?
Yes. I love to travel! I like to arrive at least one day prior to the wedding if located in an unfamiliar venue. Travel fees around New Zealand and international destinations will vary depending on distance and airfare.
Q : Do you require a deposit to book a wedding?
Yes. A 30% of total package, non refundable deposit is required to reserve your wedding day. This fee is applied to your total photography budget. The remainder of your balance is due 7 days after your wedding date on a payment schedule. When I receive your deposit, I will send you confirmation via email, for your records. I will then send you a wedding photography contract specifying the details of our agreement. Please read, sign & send back a copy of the contract to me.
Q: We are interested in you as our photographer, how can we learn more?
Sweet! Just as you are keen to learn more about me as a photographer, I want to learn about you and your wedding. I always meet with couples in person first before proceeding with bookings. If we can’t meet due to geographic location, I always email with my couples. It’s a great way to learn about each other and see if we are a good fit to create some memorable work together.
Q : Do you do engagement sessions?
Yes! Engagement sessions are included with all of my wedding photography packages.
Q : Do you shoot in RAW or JPG?
I shoot in the RAW format to provide the highest quality image possible.
Q : When is my date officially reserved?
The moment your contract/deposit is received you date is officially “booked”. During consultations and negotiations prior to the arrival of the deposit & contract, the date is not considered reserved.
Q : Can I pay the remainder of my balance on the day of my wedding?
Balance payments need to be paid in full, 15 days prior to your event date in order for me to be present at your wedding.
Q : Do you shoot digital or film?
I am 100% digital.
Q: How many pictures will we receive?
Every wedding is different and that usually dictates the final image count. I just shoot the day as it happens. Some weddings are shorter, some are longer. On average, a wedding DVD will feature anywhere from 400-1000 high resolution images from the whole day.
Q : Do I get to keep the negatives?
Yes. The fully corrected & high resolution JPEG files are included in all packages. All my couples receive all the days full resolution images on a DVD.
Q : Can I make multiple prints by myself with these negatives?
Yes. You will co-own all the original files, so you can make all the prints you need at any output facility and/or photo lab.
Q : Will your logo show on my photos just like the sample on your website?
No. The photos on my website are logoed just because for the copyright protection. Those photos you will receive at the end are totally logo free.
Q : Isn’t it all digital, why does it take you so long?…my uncle gave me the photos from his camera the next day!
Well it takes time to do things the right way. Just like most things in life…the faster its made, the less quality is put into it. This is not fast food wedding photography!
My services are NOT set up to create “cookie cutter” generic collections of images, mass produced and pushed out the door as fast as possible for higher profits. Your Wedding is a once in a lifetime event and I believe the photos deserve the time it takes to craft a quality product that is unique as each of the couples getting married.
In the slower off season months, I can usually deliver the images sooner than the contracted time although during the busy summer months, there is much more time spent shooting events which means there is less time to edit the images…which of course results in longer delivery times.
Q : I have more questions.
Feel free to contact me with any questions at any time.
